(This plant is not on the Australian Noxious Weed List.)
Native to Western Australia and the Northern Territory where it prefers red clays in a sunny, open position. Its range is scattered from the W.A. coast from Exmouth and the Pilbara extending into central N.T. usually on floodplains or near watercourses. It also has a presence on the sandy/stony soils of the Gibson Desert.
A small to medium tree, its stem is erect and branching; leaves are mid-green held in a moderately dense crown; the bark is smooth, white and powdery (and so differs from Eucalyptus coolabah ssp coolabah). Flowering is in summer.
Offered is a packet of 200 seeds (includes chaff) with propagation notes. Buyers should read the disclaimer below.
DISCLAIMER.
All Eucalyptus/Corymbia seed is harvested from the wild under licence and is sold as a combination of fertilised/unfertilised (chaff) seed. In many cases, it is not possible to tell the difference. The ratio of fertilised seed varies greatly and depends wholly on weather conditions prior to seed set. Standard industry practice is to offer 200 seeds per packet which translate to something like 10 to 30 viable seeds (which have not been counted). If the above is not acceptable to you, please do not purchase any of the above seeds.
All my seed is posted in bubble wrap protection.
