Gypsophila elegans – Gypsophila Convent Garden Market seed x30

This is a beautiful little plant which produces masses of tiny white flowers. It is a fast-growing perennial that, despite its apparent delicate characteristics, survives in a very cold climate (USDA Zone 3).

A shrub growing to 1 metre (3 ft) with a spread of 1 metre, it has slender sharp-pointed leaves 5 – 10 cm long on slender, grey green foliage, upright branches and masses of tiny 6 mm (1/4 in), flowers that give a light fluffy cloud effect when in bloom.

Gypsophila elegans is much used as a floral arrangement and dried arrangement filler because it imparts a delicate airiness that adds contrast to the arrangement.

Offered is a packet of approximately 30 seeds with propagation notes.
