Primula acaulis – Primula Bicolour Mix seeds x 100

Primula Bicolour Mix is an easy to grow biennial that produces masses of delicate blooms in a multitude of mixed bicolours. Primulas like a partial shade position and well-drained soils and they are resistant to diseases and pests.

Growing to 15-20 cm high (6-8 in) with an equal spread of light green, elliptical, serrated leaves. Flowering occurs in very early spring and can be prolonged by removing individual flowers as they fade in colour.

This plant is a new release synthetic hybrid (S1) and as with all new releases, the price is somewhat higher than average. A S1 hybrid is made by self-pollinating a female to produce seeds. Gibberellic acid or silver sulphate are used to reverse the sex of a female plant to male to obtain the necessary pollen.
