This cultivar of Salvia splendens is a perennial but grown as an annual in regions with a cold winter. Fast growing to 35cm (16in) tall, it has dark green, oval shaped leaves with serrulate margins, 75mm long and dense, long lasting, scarlet flower spikes that can grow to 30cm tall (12in). It is an outstanding plant for mass plantings, borders or containers.
This Salvia is tolerant of drought, heat, humidity, salt spray, sandy loam to clay loam with a pH range of 4.5 to 8 and full sun.
